The Middle of the Night

Should you wake up in the middle of the night and you can’t go back to sleep
Maybe someone needs a prayer from you a blessing from God they seek
Oh dear God hear my plea give that someone whatever they need

Maybe a brother who’s sick and in pain or some street person caught out in the rain
Maybe a sister who is depressed a house full of children with no happiness
Oh dear God, hear my plea, give those someone’s whatever they need

Maybe someone who’s committed a sin to ashamed to ask on their own
Maybe someone who’s been treated real bad or some that’s been left alone
Oh dear God, hear my plea, give your children whatever they need

Maybe someone with nothing to eat no clothes on their back or shoes on their feet
Maybe a child that’s been abused or some family bible that’s never been used
Oh dear God, hear my plea, give these people whatever they need

Dear Lord, could it be someone that doesn’t know you someone left out in the cold
Well you know your children better than me but I remember your Son that was sold
Oh dear God, hear my plea, give all your people whatever they need

A blessing from you dear Lord I seek and that is to help me get back to sleep
